There is something about fall that I just love, halloween, pumpkin spice lattes, the crisp air, mountain drives and of course the fashion! One brand I absolutly adore is Madewell the quality is perfection and the understated elegance makes the pieces easily adaptable for day or night. I recently got the chance to do a little creative fall shoot with the new Silk Ruffle-Hem Dress Inkcheck
I LOVE this dress. It is so comfortable, it easily pairs with ankle boots and a fedora. For a night out some fun tights and vintage shoes take it up a notch. I’m such a jeans and t-shirt girl (even before chasing after a toddler) But there is something about a dress that makes people say ” oooh you look fancy where are you going?” and your toddler say “Mama pretty” (little girls are the best) On to the pics! Happy October! What’s everyone doing for halloween?

So here’s a little post I wrote for Shabby Apple, and since we’re catching up here is my trip to NYC. Enjoy!
Over Memorial Day Weekend I went to NYC with my husband to catch up with his aunt and uncle who were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. I love taking pictures so here are some of my favorite spots. Also I got to wear my lovely Shabby Apple dress!

This Shabby Apple dress from the Joyful collection is no longer avaliable but here you can get a similar vintage inspired dress
So I’m back! Sorry blog for neglecting you for so long. It has been an amazing few months so I felt the only way to describe it would be in snapshot form. So I travelled some more, created some more and drank a few more lattes.
Started planning a trip to Spain and interned for an amazing dress company while doing my marketing course (still doing, can’t wait to finish!).
Saw the Pink concert in Vegas (AMAZING- everybody should see her at least once).
Went to NYC to catch up with my husband’s aunt and uncle (found some creative inspiration that only NYC can provide).
My baby sister moved to London (Loved seeing her via Spain trip – p.s miss you Ky).
Barcelona you are my city- Lots of cool photos/art to come.
Went to Alsace France (hello storks), a sign that my dreams were about to come true.
The last picture (my most treasured), we adopted a beautiful baby girl!!!! After many years of trying for a baby. Welcome to the world beautiful Miss V, your dad and I love you more than words can describe. You were so worth the wait!

Happy Friday all! I went to a fun art class a few weeks ago with a couple of friends. The class was all about adding texture to paintings. I came home and was inspired to do this digitally with some photographs. Here is a photo I took a few years ago in Italy. Enjoy!
